Jez Nelson presents a performance by New York quartet The Thirteenth Assembly, which features trumpeter/cornettist Taylor Ho Binum (sic), viola player Jessica Pavone, guitarist Mary Halvorson and drummer Tomas Fujiwara.
I'll have to try to remember to listen to this, because I think Mary Halvorson is one of the best guitarists I've heard (currently on a guitar kick as I'm shedding mine). She's one of the most original, too - she's not trying to sound like Jim Hall, Pat Metheny or Bill Frisell.
