way back when my pal and i went to see Roland Kirk at the Old Place; it was amazing but at midnight the members of this band arrived and started sitting in ...at 6am we walked home on a six inch air cushion reeling and spinning
i do not recall who the Brit rhythm section was except Peter Ind on bass and he of course wlaked all through the night .... but the band and Kirk exploded off each other's verve and swing .... it could have been this band or one just like it!

Alan Tomlinson (trombone) / Dave Tucker (guitar) / Phil Marks (drums) duo @ Mopomoso, The Vortex, London 15.7.12 filmed by Jenny Gallego
Alan Tomlinson plays with those two, plus tenor saxist Rachel Musson, tomorrow night at the Vortex, for all of you who aren't in London tomorrow.
