I did - very inspiring as I always enjoyed the old Chic hits as a kid, and after the "Disco Sucks" unpleasantness he showed his class by becoming a top producer.

That doc has reminded me to get my guitar out and play again (struggling to master a nice clean B flat 7 chord, still have trouble with barre chords).

Slide your C shape B7 chord up to the seventh fret (to make E7 add7 or9) and play like Hendrix! Endless fun around that shape in funkland. Play the A7 as a short slid barre on the fifth fret and you get a Start Monday gig with Buddy Miles..."Them Changes."

              BN.

Just watched a vid of Al Cohn et Zoot Sims with Phil Seaman, Green and Tracey from 67....gorgeous stuff...Seaman was a gift.

Saw Zoot and Al in '65 at what was to become Ronnie's Old Place. Johnny Butts was the drummer on that occasion, and I was sat right beside him in what was the last available seat in the club.

"OH, WHAT A NIGHT.... TO LOVE YOU DEAR"...old do wop song, just right for this SPECIAL moment.

Certainly would be a good night to go down the pub....even though I am unable to drink....

....I hope they don't cancel Broadchurch (even though it's a pot boiler)

....Peter Riddle on R4 at 9pm to tell us how close we came to using submarine launched nuclear weapons during the Falklands....
