Incredible to see clips of when jazz was "popular " music. Never heard of the last musician but the Gillespie track always seems too frenetic to me and not an easy listen although I usually enjoy most things by Dizzy.
Always been curious about this West Coast band. Can't have been too bad with both Lionel Hampton and Lawrence Brown in the line up:-
