Corey Mwamba presents new music with undercurrents of intensity, tonight featuring a quartet led by British guitarist Alex Ward, supergroup Hel Mel - featuring four saxophonists - and sound designer and field recordist Aha, who channels Middle Eastern and Western styles through a hazy vortex of stirring strings, tectonic bowed bass and gritty atmospheric textures.
