Watching the complete footage of the Messengers concert in Brussels in 1958, from which came the "Moaning" clip featured in the above documentary, it's astonishing that Lee Morgan was only twenty. The maturity, strength, ideas etc. And the growth in his playing from just a year or two earlier.
