Thanks for bringing this to our attention - I also didn't know he would be playing Glastonbury.

What a nice guy Herbie seems to be, Joseph. Really enjoyed the programme. He's on Glasto next Sunday afternoon - should be available on the Beeb somewhere..

He came across as such in his autobiography.

Hopefully he'll feature on a televised broadcast, which hopefully I'll be able to find relatively easily (memories of tape recording lots of footage and then having to fast-forward through lots of stuff to get to what I want...)

          I'll echo that.

We've been discussing it over on the What Jazz Are You Listening To thread. Enjoyable, but I would've preferred them to stretch out with their solos etc. The only place this really happened was at the end with Herbie on the keytar, so I guess you could say it concluded well - but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't slightly disappointed, but I guess it is Glastonbury...

Anyway, I have decided as an antidote to listen to this, which features one of Herbie's most barnstorming solos I've ever heard (though it's sort of a keyboard duel with Chick Corea on electric) and extremely fine contributions from the whole band:

Thanks for this JC. I was watching a broadcast from 5pm on BBC2 when there was Canteloupe Island as the only featured item from Herbie Hancock, followed by inane prattling from the presenters. This is much better!

Great album, Joseph. Must give it a spin.

One of my most-listened-to - mostly the second disk.

Can't find my copy at the moment due to my cataloguing system of my CDs (i.e., no system!). Had to resort to Spotify- enjoying that second disc

As my ipad shows one of JK’s big blank spaces please let me into the secret of which album you are listening!
