    Keith Tippett's last ever gig

Available below on youtube - the session alongside Matthew Bourne held at Islington's Union Chapel on the 12th October 2019.

Daylight Music 320 at Union Chapel 12/10/19This music is available from Discus Music on CD as part of a 2 CD set (studio disc and live disc) from:https://dis...

Keith came over and said a brief hello after the performance, and it has to be said he did seem frail. However, until receiving this yesterday via Facebook from Martin Archer, I have to admit not having known this was Keith's last time in public, which makes it all the more moving. Unfortunately I was not able to attend last weekend's big Keith Tippett celebration events in Bristol.

Details on the CD are mentioned on the link.

This may also be of interest? Ogun Records (UK):

"November will also see the release – for the first time on CD – of They All Be On This Old Road by the Elton Dean Quartet, featuring Keith Tippett, Chris Laurence and Louis Moholo-Moholo. This expanded edition of the original LP (OG400) includes newly discovered extra material from the 1976 live recording."

I really liked the original from memory.

I still have my original vinyl of that, in pretty good nick, so I'll have to give that some thought. As a matter of fact it came up automatically in the sequence of follow ons from the above, along with other great recordings including KT of that wonderful period.

        A fitting farewell gig.
