Highlights include saxophonist Denys Baptiste, Afro-Latin/jazz act Colective, and the fast-rising 16-piece band Balimaya Project. Plus tracks from harpist Brandee Younger and an interview with saxophonist John Surman, who shares some of the music that inspires him.
6.30 - New Generation Artists
Including works and arrangements by guitarist Rob Luft and vocalist Elina Duni, with Fred Thomas on piano. You have to wade through Tchaikovsky's Souvenir de Florence first.
12midnight - Freeness
Another chance to hear sessions recorded last year in Newcastle for Late Junction and Freeness in association with TUSK festival, including the first live performance between turntablist Mariam Rezeai and electronic artist Stephen Bishop. Plus pianist Cecil Taylor and percussionist Tony Oxley recorded in November 2011 at Birdland in Neuburg, Germany.

Hannah French introduces an evening of jazz with British saxophonist, composer, DJ and band leader Nubya Garcia making her BBC Proms debut, live from the Royal Albert Hall.
This concert will then be shown on BBC4 on Friday.
