    Shame shame shame

Did anyone else miss this today??

"1.00 pm Radio 3 Lunchtime Concert
12/12 Louise Fryer presents the final recital featuring Radio 3 New Generation Artists at the 2011 City of London Festival. In a performance recorded in the church of St Sepulchre-without-Newgate, saxophonist Shabaka Hutchings is joined by fellow jazz musicians for an eclectic programme including works by George Gershwin, Ornette Coleman and Stravinsky, plus a piece directed by Hutchings containing his own original compositions. Shabaka Hutchings (saxophone/clarinet) Kit Downes (piano) John Edwards (bass) Mark Sanders (drums) Leafcutter John (electronics)".

All musicians I admire and follow with interest.

just suprised that it wasn't on at about ..3.15 am tbh! what with it being jazz and all!

surely it'll be on again - or someone will broadcast it, on one of the jazz progs on r3.

presumably might have been somehow a part of 'meta4' - as hutchins & co were apparently doing a shostakovich piece too ..... but maybe not?

'The ATOS Trio performs music by Schubert, Stanhope and Mendelssohn'. unfortunate acronym alert.

You've heard the one about the sadist and the masochist who meet in the street one day?

                Masochist: "Hurt me!"
Sadist: "No - Heh heh heh".

Thanks for those 2 clips, HSF - will check 'em this pm. BTW if you click Notifications, top of page, you should find a message.

                            Hold on! What's this then?

Friday 5th August at 10 pm - is this excerpts from the cancelled broadcast? No, it's not the same line-up. Seems to be an extra of some kind.
