Glad you like the Clowes/Stanley duo, TF. Ross is/was very much a John Taylor admirer, and I think it shows. Reminds me of Peter Jacobsen too. He deserves celebrating more here, in my opinion.

Funny you should mention that because they also do a tribute to JT called Ashford Days. Also played on that Wigmore Hall gig. What a moment...

The underrated Mississippi Fred McDowell with a stunning performance of 'Shake 'em On Down':

McDowell performing the classic north Mississippi hill country song "Shake 'Em On Down".

Fascinating anti war animation by John and Faith Hubley from 1964 "The Hat" featuring Dizzy Gillespie and Dudley Moore. John Hubley did some great animations many featuring Jazz musicians

BBC Contrasts 1968, "Ronnie Scott and all that jazz*, http://youtu.be/inkP9Uo10sM?feature=shared

A documentary. Ronnie at the club, Ronnie playing with Stan Tracey with Tony Oxeley on drums. All good but the PRIZE is a clip from the 1966 Jazz goes to College concert with Sonny Rollins and Max Roach. The full audio is on YouTube as I've also posted, but this seems the only bit of video. Comes up towards the end.

Wonderful to see part of that Jazz Goes to College concert with Sonny Rollins & Max Roach.
It’s almost criminal that most of the tapes of this series have been wiped including the legendary Albert Ayler one at the LSE.

That was recorded in the Great Hall of my old university, which staggers my mind when I consider it.
