There is in fact just one of the Métopes on there; but Szymanowsky was a much more interesting and rounded composer than Scriabin. I think you'll find, and I would thoroughly recommend the third piano sonata, which culminates in one of the most thrilling fugues in the repertoire, I think.

Oddily enough, this was the last piece ofmusic I waslistening to in my car before posting but I think it is Sonata NO. 2 - unless they both end with fugues. Picked up a cheap Naxos copy to satisfy my curiousity.

I will probably order the Opus 1 Preludes after my holiday as the other stuff is much too difficult. This wor kis more Chopinesque.

I think " Have you met Miss Jones" is a great tune for improvising on. Kenny Burrell, Jimmy Rowles, Bucky Pizzarelli, Reggie Johnson and Sherman Ferguson prove it here, good solo's especially Kenny Burrell and Jimmy Rowles

Chet, with George Coleman meeting Miss Jones, the Prestige sessions. Very fine, especially George. But everyone should meet a Miss Jones...or a Mrs.
