    The place for jazz videos

Don’t think we have a thread for these.

So here’s my contribution, Art Blakey playing Crisis from around 1963.

A proper sax solo in my poorly informed opinion.

I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

I am not a number, I am a free man.

But Freddie and Jaki had so much more to say!!! Nevertheless, a very fine start to a useful thread, teamsaint: many thanks for being the initiator.

Good idea! Here's Brew Moore (aptly named) at the Bluenote in Paris 1961.He's a fine post Lester tenor player who didn't suffer idiots or inattentive audiences. The other attraction is the Lester Young posture with the tenor. And his flat top crew cut. And Kenny Clarke.....

Not too old hat for cool dudes, I hope. Here are three tenors and a baritone, ts, at the very least.

There's always Jazz on a Summers Day. The DVD has to be paid for, I think. But plenty of clips available.

One of the most intriguing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCVg1UOADO8

Polanski's "Knife in the water" 1962 , music by Krystof Komeda, a classic movie (despite the "now"), and Komeda's' music is the thing. http://youtu.be/z_1D_JI593M

Tribute to Miles - Wallace Roney (for some reason omitted in the video title) Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter and Tony Williams.
