I don't feel insulted. I can see why the decision would seem oversensitive. But if the BBC as a world broadcaster now have a Scandinavian audience, the exceptional events in Norway may engender an exceptional response. If the broadcast had been scheduled for 9th July 2005 and then shelved, could you imagine finding the decision easier to accept?
It seems to me that it can be seen as a small act of tenderness rather than an insult.
