I've got a shameful secret. I often don't get irony. What is the irony in the title?

I don't feel insulted. I can see why the decision would seem oversensitive. But if the BBC as a world broadcaster now have a Scandinavian audience, the exceptional events in Norway may engender an exceptional response. If the broadcast had been scheduled for 9th July 2005 and then shelved, could you imagine finding the decision easier to accept?

It seems to me that it can be seen as a small act of tenderness rather than an insult.

I do take your points too, guys, I really do. But once the decision's been made, whatever the disappointment to us personally, I feel like it's fair to suppose it was made sincerely.

All being well, the best gigs of 2011 that Jez Nelson mentioned on Monday may yet include this gig. I really do want a second chance to hear what I so plainly missed so if anyone spots it coming, could it be flagged up in a new thread?

I understand the decision. However, the programme that was broadcast was a real reminder of how bad Jez is - interviewing the interviewer of Keith Jarrett - whoever thought that was a good idea???? Jez, I assume. The interview was boring enough but Jez's contribution was mind numbing. Why didn't they just play some Keith Jarrett music?

is that link working as yet, to provide feedback about 'jl' time slot changes? or, we can e mail 'jl' direct, via the link on pge 3, 'jazz library' changes thread, on here.

'somethin else' title begs the question: what is it then?

Uh oh - it looks like the page you were looking for isn’t available. Not to worry though, we'll get you back on track.

a tough time for journos by the looks.

so, as a notoriously loyal beeb audience, do we pretend all is well at the beeb, in case what we complain about is opportunisticly twisted into somethin else?

or, have a darn good moan, in the faint hope that it might help?

thanks from me too. i shall look out for 'mopdtk' at the end of aug.

ultimately, it was a good replacement programme imo, especially keith jarret discussing the subject of 'creativity'.
