    The "all-nighter" was a "special" coinciding with the opening of this year's London Jazz Festival, kernel. Next week it's back to the more familiar format:

    Early music ensemble La Guirlande showcase 18th-century Spanish music. With Jonathan Swain


    (There should be a national radio station devoted to Jazz, and broadcasting through the night, IMO.)

        It's quite an achievement by the BBC to manage to put together a jazz special I couldn't stand listening too.

          I didn't manage to stay awake for much of it - what I did hear seemed to be soporific, synthesiser wash-dominated "smooth jazz", and as such it served its purpose, in my case.
