Been delving into 1980s London FM pirate radio stations recently, and found this via the Twitter: a rare (sic) recording from Jez Nelson's early broadcasting career. I leave it to you to decide if he's improved with age. He even manages to name-check Gilles Peterson in this clip whilst also getting the year wrong. This is a broadcast from September 1985.
Incidentally today (9 November) is the anniversary of K-Jazz's last broadcast. I never heard K-Jazz, though I did regularly listen to Starpoint FM which came later. Chris Phillips still owes me a Hank Mobley LP for winning a competition.
