Ian did you catch that R4 dinnerhour programme ref the Tonto's Expanding Headband pruducers who produced Stevie Wonder....very interesting how hw didn't have a hit after they left.....bit like Quincy and Micheal J....worth a listen....
....I cannot reach iplay for some reason it was on tue30th 1330 Stevie's Wnder Men....bong ching

That disc is practically flawless but it is odd how Art Farmer never seemed to feature much on Blue Note after a few sessions around 1956/7 to my knowledge. I have the lead sheets to most of the tunes on this album and I think Sonny got it spot on with his writing on this disc. It remains one of my favourite Blue Notes. One of the most iconic album covers ever, too.
