Link (hopefully) to the full concert that Elvin Jones played in Paris in 1966 during his "brief" (two weeks?) membership of the Ellington band. The core band members resented him and Cootie Williams looked at him "as if I should shine his shoes". I think he's brilliant, particularly behind Ellington on the final A Train, and remembering that he was only just working his way into the band's book.
