Jon explaining paradiddles, and the complexities built upon, and his so obvious enthusiasm, should be on all music courses! I think that's what really came across to me, not being a fan of all the output or that era, is what genuine people they both were and their commitment to their music and to each other. A wonderful marriage in every sense. Really glad I watched it.
Finally got round to viewing this - beautiful. Really enjoyed it. Great to see Dill Katz on bass - when I used to see Paraphernalia play in the mid to late 70s I thought he was so cool and laid back.

A few years after that documentary was made, Dill and another member of Paraphernalia had some kind of fall out, and quit the band. Barbara told me about this - she was very upset to lose one of her very best line-ups. What the later squads sacrificed in terms of that high point was made up for by the much better interpersonal relations in later combinations, reminding me of a comment Mike Garrick once made to the effect that you may have to go with musicians who musically speaking might not be the optimal choice, but reliability counts for more than ego, at the end of the day.
I was always a Dave Greenslade fan (keyboards), and must have seen the eponymous outfit at Friars Club Aylesbury longer ago than I care to remember. Dave did a gig about ten years ago for the Rotherham Classic Rock Society, I believe, and is now into ornithology and real ale somewhere on the Suffolk coast.
