    Morgan Freeman celebrates singer and actress Pearl Bailey (1918-90), who in 1968 won a special Tony Award for her rold in an all-black production of Hello Dolly! which also featured Freeman. Contributers include critic John Lahr, singer Imelda May* and black-music historian Stephen Bourne.

    Soweto Kinch presents a concert set by Django Bates's Belovèd, recorded in late January at Ronnie Scott's in London's Soho, with Bates on keyboards, Peter Eldh on bass, and Peter Bruun Hartz on drums.

    Really enjoyed Django's set. I usually find his trio somewhat academic, but his playing had a fluidity which pulled me in.

      They have played bits from Belovèd performances before on various of the jazz programmes, but not this one, I don't think.
