    These obits are increasing depressing. The ages get younger.

    Very sad, he was no great age - what I knew of his output was somewhat post-Mahavishnu/Jean-Luc Ponty in style without over-reverence to his predecessors or imitation: Gordon Beck I remember as having played with him in the early 80s. Here's what the Indie has to say:
