Two Late Junctions of possible interest next week:-

Tues 5 11 pm includes ... Mike Cooper's raft-themed journey to the South Pacific, which blends freestyle bluesy guitar and ambient exotica - people (this is me writing now) of sufficient age might remember Mike as a late 60s folkie who turned to jazz musicians including Louis Moholo and Mike Osborne for a couple of early 1970s recordings, and later formed a free improv trio with Lol Coxhill and Roger Turner called The Recedents, based, according to Charles Fox, on respective hairlines And...

Thurs 7 11.30 Verity Sharp with music from downtown New York improv guitarist Mary Halvorsen and her octet... among other stuff.

For lovers of Ms Halvorsen, Ingrid Laubrock and/or Anthony Braxton - not that I know if either of the latter two are featured here.

Apologies for the duff GSJ link last week, btw...
