    John Carter and Bobby Bradford

S_A's recollections of the 1987 Bracknell fest reminded me of seeing John Carter and Bobby Bradford there. They played as a duo (cornet & clarinet) and very impressive they were too. Particularly Carter who was doing a lot of circular breathing on his clarinet.

I looked them up on Spotify and found a couple of old LPs on there - "Self Determination Music" and "Flight for Four" - as well as some other interesting stuff.

And nice to see that Bobby B is still with us. (Carter died in 1991.)

all words are trains for moving past what really has no name

    Much appreciated, TF.

Bobby would be 82 now, if Carr, Priestley & Fairweather is anything to go by.

Good stuff. I've got a much played CD of Bobby with John Stevens, Johnny Dyani, and Frode Gjerstad (tenor). A live 80s concert in which Bobby is the most interesting.
