And journalist Sebastian Scotney visits places around the UK where jazz and folk music meet and intersect, and highlights his point with music by Barb Jungr and the collaborative project Quercus.

    Soweto Kinch, Emma Smith and Al Ryan present from the first night of the London Jazz Festival, featuring live music from Pizza Express Jazz Club in Soho. Guests include the duo of pianist Michael Wollny and accordionist Vincent Pierani plus a set by pianist Joey Alexander and vocals from Lizz Wright and her band.

    Soweto Kinch with another chance to hear the SFJazz Collective in concert.
