I always thought that Jazz, Wagner & Cricket were perfect examples of things that are great to do but tedious to watch ?

That surely depends on how much you like each of them, they all carry the potential of a lifetime's obsession - if you like all three you could be short of spare time!

yes far too much; i'll take jazz and cricket ... will some one please take Wagner away [for ever] ok just keep him off the airwaves when JRR is on R3 and JL is up later if there is time which there isn't because Wagner wrote VERY LONG operas [lovely overtures though] let's have Saturdays as a Wagner free zone ....

Not to bothered about the cricket either TBH.

Remember when the cricket also used to displace Radio 3 music programming - or was it the Third Programme then!

not just JRR but JL is cancelled too

Both back the weekend after according to this.

JL features Red Mitchell.

Both still not listed on the R3 website though - both JRR and JL pages state "Sorry no programmes coming up".
