Cheers, JR. I saw this yesterday but was already listening to a CD - today I am also already listening to a CD! I'll listen soon though. Right now I'm spinning Collectors' Items by Miles Davis.

The somewhat forgotten clarinettist Perry Robinson back in 1962 seemed like he was heading for great things but it didn't happen. Perry was starting to explore the same areas of jazz inhabited by Eric Dolphy and Ornette Coleman here is Perry with Kenny Barron, Henry Grimes and Paul Motian playing 'Farmer Alfalfa' from his "Funk Dumpling" album.

The only Perry Robinson I've heard is on Carla Bley's "Escalator", so many thanks for posting this!

Thanks, elmo. I actually have that album somewhere but haven't played it for years. Must search for my 'Funk Dumpling'!
