    John Coltrane: Blue Train

Another of the D'Agostini LP reissues. I don't know where they got their master from, but it sounds superb.

I've almost cleared the backlog, only about 3 LPs to go!

J-Life - Jason Yarde (ts,ss) Julie Dexter (vo) Robert Mitchell (p) Darren Taylor (b) Daniel Crosby (d) - on a C90 from an Impressions broadcast on R3 from 1997. The band, which had been Tomorrow's Warriors under Crosby Sr.'s leadership up to that point, had had a name change because, as Yarde told Brian Morton, it's about the jazz life now; Tomorrow's Warriors did, and indeed does carry on under Gary Crosby as an educational vehicle for up-and-coming youngsters, however - people like Shabaka Hutchings came up by that route. Id forgotten just how good this particular band was.

Listening to a lot of Roberto Fonseca. But nothing worthwhile as yet.

                      Please advise.
