Yes indeed! It's an incredible album of which Petit Machins is the sublime zenith where it gets especially profound and magical.

Oh yes! Blue & Sentimental is a favourite album. I'm a keen admirer of several of the Blue Note artists:

                  Ike Quebec
                  Tina Brooks
                  Joe Henderson
                  Hank Mobley
                  Lee Morgan
                  Wayne Shorter
                  Kenny Burrell
                  Grant Green
                  Kenny Dorham
                  Freddie Hubbard

Miles Davis - first disk of Live in Europe 1969: The Bootleg Series vol. 2

Bubbling - positively brimming - with ecstasy and wild splashes of colour, to the extent that one soon forgets the sound quality could be better. I've waxed lyrical about this set before so I'll leave it there.

The wonderful Liam Noble, running solo gigs online from his, err... piano nobile???.

Liam is my archetype of a jazz pianist; apparently he's been doing these for some time on an as-and-when basis, and I've enjoyed these couple of hours so much I might send this on to some of the folks I either haven't contacted or got to see in a long time.

See how he manages to stay right on the beat when a sudden draught blows his music off the stand. Not even an expletive!

There are at least a couple more of about two hours apiece in my follow on margin.

Philly Joe Jones wonderful drumming on Sonny Rollins " Blues for Philly Joe" with Wynton Kelly and Doug Watkins from "Newks Time" B Note 1957. What a great album.
