Thought this would be interesting for the many bordees who are fans of Keith Tippett.
To save bordees from having to endure Faecebook here's the relevant bit:
Malmesbury is just up t'road from me so I'll will go up there some time. Looks like they had a small free jazz fest there last month too but the KT day next August sounds good.

It’s Janinka here - now running a lovely pub in Malmesbury, Wiltshire called The New Three Cups Inn Malmesbury and we have a new piano addition!
We have been asked by Julie and Inca to be custodians of this beautiful instrument which carries so much of Keith’s history.
It dates back to around 1910 and for the last 4 decades belonged to Keith who composed many major works on it including Septober Energy (which was the inspiration behind Westport Sound - our recent and annual festival), From Granite to Wind, The Ark, the Dances, Linuckea and many more from his cottage in Tortworth.
We feel very honoured to have been asked to look after it and think that Keith would rather enjoy the fact that it’s now in a pub. The ivories are stained and will never be cleaned and it’s our hope, and that of his lovely family, that this piano will continue to entertain, educate and inspire our costumers and visitors to our pub.
Music is our life here at The Cups and this piano seems very much at home! So come and visit it and look out for a Keith Tippett day in his honour sometime around August
Cheers Keith Enjoy the music!
Thanks to Stephen Sheers for moving and tuning it!
