I was also thinking of Lindsay Anderson's "farewell" documentary The Director, which right at the end has a rendition by Alan Price aboard a riverboat celebration of Jill Bennett and Rachel Roberts and release of their ashes into the Thames which I find very moving. Derek Wadsworth is the trombone player, Don Weller on tenor sax. I grieved Lindsay's death and still miss him - huge gap... He would have been a great dad, though it is said he was actually gay. I'm overjoyed to find this on youtube - I managed to get a copy off Malcolm MacDowell several years after it was made (1992) - had to send off to America.
