I've just seen that the very fine Danish drummer Alex Riel has died at 83. I think he played with just about everyone over there, resident and passing through. Dexter, Bill Evans, Roland Kirk, Jackie M, Booker Ervin, etc etc and a host of Scandinavian talent.
