John Coltrane and Alice Coltrane have pride of placement as CsOTW. Most of the 'Trane tracks will be familiar to aficionados, however the Alice C selections could be interesting during the second half; and we are "promised" revelations about their relationship, collaborations etc. Could be worthwhile!

That's great to see John and Alice as composers of the week. I'll be sure to catch it (although some catch-up will be required as I'm currently on my way to my grandmother's in Yoxall and won't be back until Tuesday afternoon).

As time goes on it seems Alice is becoming a bigger influence on the music than John. This will be required listening.

I have to say there has been some excellent stuff on tonight's broadcast, including one of the young singers, who after her performance came up with this lovely line: "I sing Soul in the house that jazz built". Donald Harrison has a phenomenal pianist.
