The first time for jazz in this country. They are to be congratulated of course. Yet I find myself in two minds - can any official award accord jazz its own status? A MOBO?

Glad they won, the BBC News coverage included a very brief extract of their performance at the Ceremony and I liked their Latin vibe, rather Arturo Sandoval-like.

Disappointing how he says "I understand why cuts happen, but I just don't think it should be in that direction [youth clubs]"... pleased with his response to the stupid question about making jazz cool again though...
