Shame it petered out before we really got a chance to find out eh, Calum. However, for further EVIDENCE of good stuff available in The Smoke, I offer The Oxford pub in Kentish Town's backlist, culminating (because I was there) in last evening's formidable gig by a band led by a young drummer called Dave Smith, with three excellent hornspersons in the front line. It is still imo reasonably-priced, friendly, comfortable, and never too loud. For those of adventurous and curious disposition, some of the clips from previous sessions are well worth clicking on.
