    Thanks again Alyn.

Is there a limit on track length? I wanted to request a nine minute track for a birthday in Sept....

Booker Ervin's "stretched" version of I can't get started from The Space Book.

    BN.

      Thanks too from me!

I thought Oscar Peterson was the pianist on those Parker with Strings sides. Anyway, much looking forward to hearing the early George Shearing side with Harry Parry, and the Basin Street Brawlers (!) of whom Malcolm Earl Smith is or used to be familiar over here, singing as well as 'boning, in company with Chris Biscoe, Henry Lowther and others in a homegrown Mingus project.

BN The upper practical limit on track length is about 10 minutes. eg Charles Lloyd last week. Have gone longer, but that was when a late-starting opera gifted us an extra few minutes of programme last summer.

I wish I could be more enthusiastic about Oscar Peterson. Gob-smacked for the first minute or so by that incredible technique, then he sprints off into a solo, and continues sprinting for several minutes - but not getting anywhere.

May be this track on JRR will prove me wrong.

04/05 - No problems, I remained gob-smacked throughout The Sheik of Araby. Maybe it's his later work, concerts to huge Audiences, which I find has lack of interest.

Late Starting Opera Allows More Jazz - Shock!

When are we going to get JLU back?

Andrew McGregor's latest trailer for Live from the Met suggests another 6 o'clock start.
