According to the best estimates of astronomers there are at least one hundred billion galaxies in the observable universe.

    The Refrain:

    "So comrades, come rally
And the last fight let us face
    The Internationale unites the
    human race.
    No more deluded by reaction
On tyrants only we’ll make war
The soldiers too will take strike
    action
They’ll break ranks and fight no
    more
And if those cannibals keep trying
To sacrifice us to their pride
They soon shall hear the bullets
    flying
We’ll shoot the generals on our
    own side."

We sing this at the Ken Colyer Red Brigade meetings.....

    This year its a biggy.

    BN.

To celebrate I shall be seeing the Russian alto player Zhenya Strigalev with his Uranus Quartet invading Foyles at six.

I wonder if there will be any demonstrators there... Probably not - too bookish.

Might have to cancel my plans, what with the tube strike and not wanting to chance it with overcrowded buses. Spare railing sections to chain bicycles to in the W End will doubtless be at a premium too. Shame about that. Anyone else got plans for celebrating This Day?
