probably - remember he used to put the boot in when criticism started to hurt by being too honest

May I address this thought to everyone who uses this Facebook page? We think it might encourage more people to post on the page, and help build a wider community of interest, if people were able to feel that their posts might perhaps be met with less sarcasm and fewer bursts of aggression. It's an open forum, of course, and that's a good thing - but it would be a shame if this became a place where angels did rather fear to tread ... Graeme (Radio 3 Interactive)

I've no idea, but a reply has just been posted.

Having just had a look at the R3 Facebook page, I'm almost starting to feel a bit sorry for them. It can't be quite what they had in mind when they closed the message boards. It seems more negative, more public and less controllable. I find it hard to believe it'll last very long.

Exactly. There is no moderation, and there is no control over what is said. I wouldn't be surprised if the bbc deleted their R3 page. I shall watch with interest. I can't help wondering about cav's/LJ's motivation, though. What is that all about?

She's posted a few snide remarks about this forum, FoR3 and a suggestion that frenchie should be more like Madam Mao She did however make the suggestion that the Discussions page should be used instead of just short, mainly negative, posts on the main page which would I think be a better use of the R3 FB facility.

In regard to the former, two possibilities cross my mind:

              1) Infatuation

              2) Angling for a job.

In one of the last Proms replies to her front row mate Budgie Jane, you will recall she strongly implied intending to move this side of the Pond.

I think perhaps Madame Mao might intervene and say that discussion should not continue about an individual not here and able to respond. I point to the Facebook page as demonstrating why I judged a certain line of 'discussion' as disruptive.

And, yes, Graeme will certainly be Graeme for whom I have always had considerable respect, especially as a presenter
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Linda Grant has just tweeted/text to SMP does this make her a bad person? - the programme is scarily interactive - best for those of a nervous disposition to stay away........

Caught some guff just now about Rob and SMP in the bath...

Not a mental image I want to take with me to start the day

that was hilarious. Rob sounded a bit non-plussed

                                Hi all,
Apparently it's St Cecilia's day today? Anybody catch that this morning? I think Sara mentioned it in passing, just once or twice........
                                Oh Brahms's Ac.Fest.Ov. again.

Any chance of hearing Varese on Breakfast? Ionisation ideally. I live in eternal hope.
