Yes indeed it could go many ways but your new manager impresses me - do you still miss NA?

Yes, do miss him really. He is a terrific manager, and a great example on how to conduct yourself in pressure situations.
However, he will get a good job, and the new guy seems good ...a little more aggressive in going out to win games perhaps.
He had great foundations to build on, but I think he may turn out to be a good choice.

Th revival looks over at Hartlepool.....not going well tonight.

We should start a sweepstake on the teams to go down to the Championship - but ff might not approve........

It should've been Brass Spring rather than Baroque Spring

but it might be fun finding out.

I would have an optimistic Reading/QPR/Sunderland.

Talk about off topic, never mind offside - I was trying to work out who Teamsaint's manager might be...

... but I've now got the picture, I think!

Does this come with relocation expenses - I dare say some of the more metropolitan Beeb employees would rather go "west of Venus" than to Salford!

Successful applicants can have use of the spare room (one day to become luxury listening zone !) unless the kids come home from Uni, in which case the intern can borrow our (4 man) tent.

Best I can do, but it could be a foot on the ladder.

(If 53 miles west of Venus is good enough for the B 52's, its good enough for Beeb employees IMHO)!

Today, S M-P chatted with a guy from North (!) Somerset who identified a piece of Bax, with reference to Geoff Hamilton's series on Paradise Gardens. I think he was played a different portion of the composition by Arnold Bax, which, if so, is par for the course with vox-pop but then S M-P went on to comment that Bax's "Walk to the Paradise Garden" "would be more suitable" which is either an appalling ad-lib or even worse.. scripted. And even if Bax did write it would still be irrelevant because as we all know, well, nearly all, that the "Paradise Garden" is a pub. How close to a new-low is this?

The whole programme is dreadful, what with her "I've GOT coming up" and after a piano solo saying "that was played by the PIANIST ......" My partner shouts out "it wasn't a f***ing trombonist was it!" I didn't think I'd ever say it, but I much prefer P.T.
We don't listen that often now (except in the bathroom) it causes too much stress in the morning!
Sorry, had to get that off my chest!!

                            I didn't but then I have a Delius allergy.
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                            Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

The contrast today between the last hour of TtN, with the Strauss Oboe Concerto, a Beethoven piano sonata, and no 5 of Rossini's little String Sonatas, and the first 20 minutes of Breakfast was amazing.
