So what is your argument? And what is the "paradigm" you don't agree with? (What do you mean by paradigm in this context?)

Reading what you've written here I honestly have no idea of either (a) or (b). Perhaps you'd explain?

      That really is just lazy
      "lefties"

I guess it's a badge of your "working class" credentials that you discuss how paradigm's have shifted in contemporary society then ?

(a bit like my "working class" music academic mate who not only understands the equations in Xenakis's Formalised Music but can point out some errors in the maths !! )

(BTW if this isn't bang on-topic on a thread about 'Class', I don't know what it!)

        Exactly!!!!

BUT this is not how the sandal-wearing classes and middle-class lefties want to discuss it.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS The poor man's Simon refernces say much more about the people saying that than they could ever realise.

          "middle class lefties" ...... ?

Come on you really can do better than that
(and don't start doing the "real world", "university of life" nonsense .......... please )

How about (as the good prof suggested) some definitions ?

or are "middle class lefties" just people who disagree with ?

(hang on i've got a volvo and a pair of sandals .........)

Are you implying Jesus was middle-class?

I expect this is what they mean by spittle-flecked and swivel-eyed?

I'm impressed that you've had a little nibble at Kuhn's paradigm shifts

My working class mate is the other way around - he is no good at maths in the abstract, but can work out a three-dart finish in a nano-second. He'd get the Xenakis, I'm sure

                Right hand drive presumably.

Well no-one seems to want to have a real discussion about class, that's why.

And who can blame them? It is 2013, after all. (Classic.)

                      Who 'is' them?
In what context do you mean 2013?
                      Please explain or define 'classic'.

(I'm getting the hang of this. Thanks to 4/5 people in here, I'm becoming fluent in bollocks)

                              1) If I were gay, I'd do better than you.

                              2) How about you defining it?
