            My original comments on that discussion were very much about music and it's contexts. Sadly there are some who find the referring to church music in a wider context as somehow "off topic" and not "what we are supposed to be discussing" etc

            Given that Simon has been (and with much fanfare trumpets and more drums that in Berlioz's Requiem ) ignoring me for the last year or so his comments seem a little odd but I guess he is now not doing this ?

            It's a shame that potentially interesting (and sometimes heated) discussions are often derailed by one individual who really can't complain when people get a bit irked ........his

            "a big boy did it and then ran away miss" argument is a bit limp imv

              This probably isn't discussing anything worth continuing with and I've been asked to close the thread. Which I do without further comment.
              It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
