In fairness, Mr Pee did not 'start' this thread himself. Posts were excised by the Moderator at the point in the original thread where nothing seemed to be relevant to the topic under discussion (Sky v the BBC).

We are currently in The Basement. The thread will be closed when people have had sufficient opportunity to duff each other up
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Call me Johnny-come-Lately! I see. Thanks for explaining.

Don't think I've ever visited the basement before. Quite fun, isn't it?

Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Perhaps there should be a new sub-forum called "The Basement" in which we could all duff each other up without annoying anybody else.

Although "The Basement" does sound a bit like the name of a less than salubrious club in which leather apparel might be de rigeur.....

I was wondering whether to start a thread on Watersports - located in the sub-sub-basement.

                May I suggest a different article: "A-basement"?

As the belligerents appear now to be pacified, I will close the thread. Start another thread on, say, Platform 3, to make any further suggestions for improvements to the system
