    Lenten thoughts

As an atheist I would choose "My Old Man's a Dustman."

Jesus - this is the most boring thread I've yet encountered.

Since you are an atheist I am surprised you bothered to read it in the first place. This thread was started in the spirit of this holy season and in the light of recent tragic world events, if you can't take it seriously you know what you can do.

A look at its recent posts is all that is needed!

Is it all getting a bit heated?

Probably my fault for getting Magnificat a bit miffed. I suppose I should have realised that my tongue in cheek comments might have got someone going! I didn't realise this was quite such a serious thread.

I will do 2,000 Hail Maries and get the whip out ...

And try and get converted ...

Cellini - that would be a loutish, aggressive, unnecessary and unkind thing to say on any thread on any subject. "O, it's just a joke" is not as effective a response to criticism as "I'm sorry."

You don't need to convert to Christianity. Just to learn civilized behaviour would be enough.

Ah yes, but 'the French' say 'When the seagulls follow the trawler, it is because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea.'
