The vocal group Exaudi started and finished Saturday's Hear and Now with works by Marinissen and Finnessy. The latter was inspired by Gesualdo's 6th book of madridals; and it might be noted that Exaudi, although specialising in contemporary music, also on occasions, perform Gesualdo straight, if 'straight is an apt word. The Finnessy piece is extremely difficult, and I doubt there is another group in the UK which could tackle it. This incredible small professional group, Exaudi, conducted by James Weeks, was not credited by name either in Radio Times or on the H&N website. A grave omission IMO.

Yes an oversight to mention EXAUDI explicitly. The programme however, was a joy to listen to, enjoyed it immensely.
