Pierres Schaeffer & Henry: Symphonie pour un Homme Seule

I just wanted to alert the board to one of the seminal works of electroacoustic music, Pierre Schaeffer's and Pierre Henry's "Symphonie pour un Homme Seule" of 1947, being included for review by Rod Young on this coming Saturdays Here and Now, (the 28th).

Other works by Jonathan Harvey being broadcast make this a very enticing-looking programme.

has anyone discussed last week's 'h&n'? especially, sally beamish + juliet stevenson's prose performance, (prose written by someone who suffered paralysis, after a fall) ....it was impressive i thought. spoilt only by the producer's choice of what came immediately after, which ideally should have been the 'island' music and singing, which concluded 'hear & now'. instead, the producer chose more spoken word, this time courtesy of thingy macmillan + brass band, and cliches about 'passing the baton'. imv particularly 'wincey' after the beamish.
