Caught the tail end of Friday’s lunchtime concert and was impressed by the new piece commissioned by Belfast Music Society from Dublin based composer Rhona Clark for flute, viola and harp: ‘Seen from Above’. The title is borrowed from the poem ‘Under the Mountain’ by Louis MacNeice, the piece inspired by aerial landscape photography. Distinctive and atmospheric. Recommended.
