New New Music Releases; NMS, Sat 14/9/19; 11:00pm

Note the later start resulting from the Jingofest earlier in the evening.

As Kate Molleson gleefully pointed out towards the end of last week's programme, this shortened edition is devoted to "discussion" of new releases of recordings of New Music - presented by both Kate Molleson and Tom Service.

There may even be the chance to hear the occasional fragment of Music interrupting their game of Hyperbole Bridge ("I'll see your 'visceral lasciviousness' and raise you a 'monumental spiritual delicacy yet also granite-like integrity'"). We can but hope.

The best new music in live performance, plus interviews, new releases and features.

Fear not, ferney: the Hyperbole Bridge will soon be swept away by the Hyperbole Tsunami.

It's just bloody awful - presenters who like to listen to the sound of their own voice, and if the listeners want to listen as well, they are welcome.

By coincidence Robert Worby of the Langham Research Centre has just appeared on Resonance FM - a great programme: https://www.resonancefm.com/

It was dreadful, wasn't it? As if Tom Service had thought that the programme was its usual 2-hour length and had written a script accordingly - and was determined to cram every word he'd written into the 60minutes anyway. Mumbling, sentences that gave up halfway through, interrupting Kate Molleson - it was a disgraceful example of broadcasting.

Some intriguing new releases rudely interrupted the verbal diarrhoea, though.

The programme can be found a little down the list at https://www.mixcloud.com/Resonance/ (third in the list at the time of posting).
