    Tectonics 2019, Episode 2; NMS, Sat 18/5/19; 10:00pm

    In this second (and final) selection of works performed at this year's Tectonics Festival in Glasgow, Kate Molleson introduces three new orchestral works performed by the BBC Scottish SO conducted by Festival Originator, Ilan Volkov, and performed in the Grand Hall, Glasgow on Sunday, 5th May this year.

    Juliana Hodkinson(b1971): All Around (BBC Commission, World Premiere)
    Mauro Lanza(b1974): Experiments in the Revival of Organisms (BBC Co-Commission, UK Premiere)
    Martin Arnold(b1959): The Gay Goshawk, with Angharad Davies, violin, and Sharron Kraus, voice (World Premiere)

    Mahan Esfahani plays Anahita Abbasi(b1985)'s Intertwined Distances for Harpsichord and Electronics, which Esfahani premiered in Milan in March last year.

    And Julia Reidy (b1993) performs her Brace, brace for guitar and voice.
