No - nothing to do with the Boris Bus; Tom Service's monologue this week is interspersed with Music from
Laurence Crane (b1961): Holt Quartet (played by the Bozzinis)
Tatjana Kozlova-Johannes (b1977): Lighting the Fire (Estonian NNational SO/Taavi Kull)
Elaine Mitchener (b1984): Myths and Dreams (the Composer [voice], Jason Yarde [Saxophones], Neil Charles [Bass])
Eliane Radigue (b1932): Occam IV (Julia Eckhardt [viola])
An attractive-looking programme - I find I get more involved with Radigue's Occam series the more I hear of it, so my thanks to the NMS for featuring it over the past couple of weeks. Elaine Mitchener is a powerful artist, whose performances involve dance and physical theatre, frequently to overwhelming effect. It will be interesting to hear how her "sound-only" work comes across over the airwaves.
