    Good idea - Petroc Trelawney is getting slightly more adventurous these days, at least in the first part of the programme, before around 8am.

      Spacialisation of multi-channel electroacoustic works is always welcome, but rarely does the music's discourse really depend upon it to make sense. There is probably a stronger argument for clearer spacialisation of orchestral/ensemble broadcasts given there are often more sounds sources involved and musical threads playing out.

        I attended a HISS concert at City University Performance Space on Turesday. I found it a struggle to stay awake, and the sound projection was decdedly front oriented, speakers sites all round notwithstanding. I bet I have no such problems on (all hail) the 1st of May.
